Just a few of the many emails we receive:

Thank you so much for Church Power Point! It has made my job SOO much easier! Our church has two services -- a "traditional" and a "contemporary." We rely on Power Point for the contemporary service, and your site has been such a wonderful resource. I am so grateful for your ministry. --

Since we discovered your website our presentations on Sundays at Orpington Methodist Church are so much better and we have had many compliments on the improved style and variety, so we are very grateful for everything that you provide.  Thank you so much. Jan

I just want to thank you so much for the wonderful service you provide by means of the images. I prepare most of the presentations for our church, a catholic church outside Sydney, Australia. So often I get comments such as 'wonderful images', so thanks.  The Gallery is wonderful and I haven't fully explored it yet.

Have a very happy and holy Christmas, and may you be blessed in the New Year with many graces from our God.
God bless,
Ann Moloney

Think About It is just what I needed to get a fresh outlook on the text.  It's even more than that.  It brings into focus what our ministry should be all about.  Thanks.  Rev. William Smith California

When I am looking for an image for a new program or special announcement, I can always find it on Gallery.  It is the best buy on the internet for the worship needs of a church.  I'm so grateful for all you do. I am not only the pastor, I also handle all the powerpoint for our service.
Rev. John Fisher

I just want to thank you so much for your power point helps.  I am a fledgling media person and your web site makes my task so much easier.  Your artwork make our church's chapel service look so much nicer and more professional.  I thank God for all that you do.

I just wanted to express my appreciation for the PowerPoint slides you provide.  It's really tough for a church that operates on a very tight budget - like the one I attend - to be able to provide much more that just generic backgrounds.   Thank you and may God bless your ministry.

I just wanted to thank you for your ministry in this effort.  We are a small church and we are focusing on the needs of the homeless in N Fort Myers.  These PowerPoint masters will help in that, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate them.   They are wonderful!   God Bless You!

Thank you for making the images available.  I prepare the power point slides for our worship service and it has been so helpful. I know that it takes a long time to come up with the right images for each Sunday.  Many thanks and blessings to you.

A teacher of mine asked the question of a large class, “If you noticed the cashier had neglected to ring up an item for $1.00, how many of you would bring it to her attention?”  Most of the class raised their hands.  “Now, how many of you would contact the owner of a wallet you picked up on the street if you found it contained $10,000 cash.”  After much hesitation, a dozen or so hands were raised.  He asked of those, “What if the amount was a cashier’s check made out to cash for a million dollars, who would contact the owner?”  Not a single hand went up. The teacher looked at us and declared, “You are all thieves.  It is only a matter of degree.”

I told the story a few days ago and was asked, "What is the most important thing in life to you?"  “What would it take to give into temptation?”  “To do something that is against your moral code?”  I think this is what the text today is all about.  With Jesus, his spiritual life was more important to him than his life on earth.

A very common temptation among most people is money.  Don’t people you know obsess over money?  Yet, no matter how much wealth they have, without health money means little.  Even though death is inevitable and obviously we can’t take our money or possessions with us, why is it so very important to us?
People die.  Some people claimed that they died and then come back. They call this the near-death experience. Many of those people talk about what they saw in the state of death….how their priorities changed.
There are a lot of videos on the subject.  I thought the following to be of great interest.  A prominent medical doctor discusses his after death experience:…part 1 and 2.

Deep down, we all know that we only have a handful of decades on earth and then it's over here.  AARP took a survey recently, trying to discover how Americans over 50 years old believed …in life after death.  Click for more information.

What I found of interest was the response of many:  From atheists to conservative religious, many people said they thought it important to live their lives as if heaven was a coveted destination. It’s easy to say, isn’t it, but does the world reveal this altruistic attitude?  Does your congregation bear this out?

Here’s another video on children’s experience of life after death:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czZ9xF0zs6s

In the near-death experience, many see their entire lives reviewed:  the good and the bad.  They see how their actions affected others.

I wonder what Jesus would say to me or to you if we voted for those who were against increasing taxes for the wealthiest people to help pay for the care for those “least among us?”  How would he respond if our actions reveal our unconcern about the huge chunks of our country’s budgets designated for weapons, but care little for those dying at home without medical attention?  Where are our priorities?  How have our actions affected others?

In light of those near death experiences, can’t we conclude that what is important is not how “well” we live, but how well we have treated others in this life?   Therefore, when we contemplate our lives and set our goals, maybe it would be a good idea if we thought about the temporary life we live here on earth.  Why don’t you ask your congregation?

  • Although the members of your congregations may hesitate before arriving at the ONE most important thing in life, it is more difficult to list what they would sacrifice for it.  Some of the things that were on the desirability survey….jobs, money, friends, food and shelter, family.  Interestingly, not included on the list …….helping my neighbor, loving others…didn’t appear. Alfred Lord Tennyson (1808 ~ 1892) wrote, "...brief is life but love is long,"
  • Our every day decisions reveal to everyone around us what is most important in our lives. We are constantly being tempted to contradict the principles of our faith.  What we say, how we act,….even how we vote….says it all.
A pastor was invited by one of the very active members of his church to attend the funeral of her brother in the next town.  That man was well known as a notorious slum landlord.  At the funeral the minister spoke and called the man every name in the book…..”John lived off the suffering of the poor.  He had no compassion for their plight. He spent his life selling his soul for money.  It’s too late for John,” he continued, “but not for you.” He shouted.  “Repent.  Save yourself.”
On the ride home, the pastor was fuming.  He turned to his wife, “How could that man go on that way.  It was the worst funeral sermon I have ever heard.”   She was quiet for a while, but finally responded,  “…..It was awful,” she agreed, “but……wasn’t he  right?”

Think About It.
